Bluebill painting

Have a few questions. Picked up a bunch of used Bluebill decoys and they need a little refurbishing. I was wondering what kind of paint and the pattern you would use. If anyone has any pictures of some of your work it would be great.

Thanks. Looking forward to see

I would use Golden Heavy Body Matte Acrylics and I would paint as detailed as possible. It all depends on what you want to use and how you want to paint them.

What type of decoys? Plastic, foam, cork or wood????
If you are re-doing nice cork or wood decoys, I will defer to the carvers on the site.
I use FME from Lou at Lock, Stock & Barrel on my plastics, the stuff is fantastic. Even sticks to Carrylites.
Plain old Rustoleum flat black & white both work too. But FME is the best.

On the foamers I just did, I used Kilz Flat Primer for the white and a Rustoleum water-based flat Black for the bodies on the drakes. Wish I had used FME, but didnt have any left and was on a budget, had to use what was on hand. For the hens, I used brown FME. Bills are FME bluebill blue.
