I've thought about keeping one of these in the motorwell of my Bankes for the emergency situations. I do keep a coil of rope in the motorwell and have permanently affixed lines off the bow and stern cleats for emergencies. I have thought that I could stand on the cavitation plate and use the tilt-trim switch on the motor cowl to lift me out of water. I haven't practiced the man-over maneuver but I know it will raise me enough that I won't be dangling in the water.
