Hi everyone I am new to this forum and was wondering if any has ever built any of the boats from the Sandy Points Boat works page? I was looking at their plans for a boat called the power ducker and thought it looked pretty good they also have plans for a sculling boat. I have never built a boat before and was considering one of these for a first project. Any advice for a first timer would be greatly appreciated.

Guess I missed the previous thread. Yes, i built one of their boats, in fact, it's my boat, the two man scull boat that is on their website.
I cann't say I would recommend them for your first boat, depending on your woodworking skill level. Couple of things were missing for the plans, that you had to figure out as you went along.
If your skills are minimun, I would recommend a Devlin as your first boat, plans are top noch, lots of people have experience with them, info in readly available.
