I am looking at buying an 06 polarkraft 2096 cc. It has a 90 hp yamaha 2 stroke, 10 gal tank, battery, running lights, interior lights, and bilge. It has no floor just the stringers to walk on, no seats, or electronics. Custom painted trailer with swivel tongue. The whole rig is basically brand new other than needing a cleaning. the trailer is like brand new and the thing is built like a tank. he wants 9,000. decent price?

Joe,
A lot depends on condition and the availability of similar boats in your area. Up here there are boats for sale all over the place and some very good deals right now. You did not enter a location so I cant give you much for help, but your local Craigs list may give you some comp's to compare to.

outboard an 06 too?

Ought to be able to check engine prices on ebay.

Can the current owner show you a computer readout with engine hours?

Who cares about a custom trailer?

For a boat coming from someone I don't know doesn't strike me as a screaming good deal.

If I was looking for an aluminum boat it would be a flat (interior) bottomed Lund Alaskan.

I am near Cleveland. The motor is an 06 and not a scratch on it and they are going between 5,000 and 6,000 on ebay. Its not really a custom trailer but heavy duty painted and the diamond plate for the steps. I see smaller trackers with tillers and really nothing on them going between 6,000 to 10,000 just wondering if anyone has had experince with these polarkrafts thanks

I had a mod 1654 polercraft, 1985yr. coastguard bow & carried a shallow V back to transom. I loved the boat til it was stolden. Only prob. I had was after15 years of zipping about , 40 EVR does that 40+mph. ducking , fishing, & bouncing around OAHA SD scubadiving the rivets started leaking . I got a bilge pump and never tried to tighten rivets. I wish I still had it!
