My girlfriend bought me this old brant decoy from an antique shop in south jersey, any ideas? Hollow body and inleaded weight underneath (looks like someone added a pad over the old weight afterwards)...Im guessing it is an old Barnegat Bay bird just want to see if it looks familiar to anyone?

That's a good Brant and a very good gift. IF that's EP carved in the bottom, could be Ellis Parker. Uncle of Rowley Horner, made decoys, but did not hunt. "Ellis Parker used applied leads for ballast weight"
- Henry A. Fleckenstien, New Jersey Decoys.

I'm just takin' a guess...

For a certain ID check with Mr. Bill Cordrey.
