Briggs and Stratton 5hp Outboard ?

I have a 5hp Briggs motor. Has anyone come up with a way to make a tilt or shallow drive application for these. I'm about to trade or sell mine if I can't rig something up.

I have the same motor that I use mostly on my MLB Wigeon.I made a small mahogany block
that I put between the motor and the mounting frame just to get through some spots
that are a little rocky. You have to be careful not to use too much tilt. This motor has an
oil sump, and if you tilt too much you take the chance reducing the lubrication.Hope
this helps.

Chris,
I too have a briggs and am happy with it but am careful not to tilt it too much for the same reason.
Bill.

I'm having a problem with my camera, but I can explain it to you. It's decidedly low tech.
I took a piece of scrap from my shop around 7-8" long, and about an inch thick.Ilifted the
motor and stuck it between the motor and the swivel mount.I worked the wood thickness down a little at a time until I
had an angle on the motor around 25 degrees above vertical.I screwed a piece of truck inner tube on
one end, then stuck it on the motor, went around the front of the motor ,with the rubber and screwed
it on the other end.I leave it on the motor.I just lift the motor and spin it around when I need it and turn it around in front when I don't.
