Burlap question...

I have several old burlapped Herters that I did years ago. Some need to be touched up now. Especially tails and bottom edges.

What is the best way to do this?? Re do the whole decoy or just add burlap patches over the bare foam spots??

I would definitely patch. If needed, fair the edges of the existing burlap with coarse sandpaper - or even a sharp knife - then just add a piece of burlap and new tile mastic. I would make the patch about an inch larger than the bare spot all around.

Most important part of this job is cheap rubber gloves!
