Camo Netting Question

I have a 17 foot polar craft that I'm hoping to use to hunt the bay this year, but I've been having an issue deciding how to conceal it. I'm leaning toward covering it with camo netting and just hunting away from it on the bank, but my question is what color netting to get? i dont want to order a color that i think would look good then have it show up and not be what i want. Like i said i mostly hunt the bay so if any one has experience with this stuff i appreciate it!

My experience hunting the coast has been that so long as the boat a good ways from where you are hunting--at least 100 yards, and preferably more--the boat doesn't flare birds.

I've got a big military surplus 3D camo net that's light brown on one side and dark olive on the other. The light side works well to cover the boat in salt marsh or rice. It's too dark, but it conceals the shape of the boat pretty well and breaks up the sillouette. I use the dark side against a bank with green trees or on the coast, where it's an almost perfect match for rockweed and makes the boat look like a big boulder or chunk of ledge.

Just park the boat a distance from your set up. That is waht we do on Lake Erie. The birds do not flare and those birds are probably pressured more that most. The boat has a dull paint job though and blends with shoreline.

I use military camo net for a lot of temporary blinds on the banks of wooded streams and wetlands. I hang my netting with rope or drape it on sticks shoved in the ground. I also set up post and woven wire blind frames that I throw the net over. I use a single layer with a little over lap at the top edge where there will be 2 layers. I do not like the netting up against a solid surface. I want to suspend it so light can pass thru it. I can sit behind it and look thru it and watch ducks and geese swim into range. They never know you are there. On a solid suface it looks like a solid object. Suspend it off of that solid object and it hides the object.
