Can anyone help me with this decoy?

My mom picked up this decoy for me while in Florida this past winter. Can anyone tell me anything about it? It has had a replacement head nailed on it

I could be Way Wrong, but it has a Nova Scotia or Louisiana style look to the body. Primitive no matter where it came from, with very good folk art form. Can't tell how large it is - if duck, goose, loon, or cormorant.
