Cape Cod report

Sorry- no pics to speak of. We hunted Pleasant Bay Monday and Tuesday this week. Pretty, bluebird conditions- got sunburned. Monday was spectacular- eiders, brant, blacks, buffies. We used the Devlin as transport and hunted out of layout blinds on the marsh- very effective. Tuesday we had decent SW wind and did not see as much action- puddle ducks flew late, so more bird watching than shooting.

I used to hunt down there for a week every year- this was the first time in 11 years- I have forgotten how physically demanding a full day of big water tidal hunting can be- battered and bruised.

We were concentrating on the blacks and brant and paased up lots of eiders, mergs and buffies. At one point we had over a dozen eiders swimming in the decoys and chatting with each other-really cool.
