carabiner help

When I saw your post I thought - no problem. Until I went to look. Couldn't find anything either. You might have to make one. Would a shackle work? Or some kind of hook?

I know they are available. My brother-in-law has some at least that big. If memory serves me his will open about 2 inches or better at the latch. I'll call him this weekend and find out where he got them.

Fleet Farm, had them last fall, bought 2 of them. Bout 5 bucks apiece.

Yep, Thats the one my brother-in-law has too.

It should be noted that the one above (as is my brother-in-laws) is made from aluminum and not designed for heavy loads.

I get all my carabeeners from West Marine. I'll have to check on the size I get and can see just what they have in stock. We have a West Marine 5 minutes from the shop.

Thanks for all the help fellows. I am off to Fleet Farm. I found some on Rangerjoes.com which are large and would be fine if you want to repel from a helicopter hee hee
