Carl, AL boat question?

Carl in Alabama what do ya'll receive when you register a boat? In MS you just get a registration card which serves as the title. In LA, we actually get a title. I am talking to a guy and he says the boat is registered with marine police but has no title? Also, do ya'll not have to register trailers?

We dont have boat titles here. All you have is your bill of sale, which you use to take it to the local County License office to get your registration & stickers. After that, all you have to carry is the registration form, which I guess kinda serves as a title.
We also dont have to title or register boat trailers. Guys who travel across state lines a lot do anyway just to have a tag on it. But if the boat is only trailered instate, you dont need a tag.

It was a huge pain for me I lived in AL, bought a boaght in FL. Then when I moved to NC I didn't have any of the paperwork I needed. I worked out but it was a pain.
