Carving bench / workstation photos

Hello everyone, new to carving and in the process of constructing a no frills bench- block at one ems for carving, mount for a Wilton mini on the other.

I'm sure there have been lessons learned from those of you who've been doing this a while - things you've done that worked and, maybe more important, things you'd have done a little differently.

Any advice or photos of your setup you'd wish to share would be greatly appreciated.

I used older kitchen cabinets ( from our house remodel) and put 2x12's on top. It's worked well and didn't cost much.

Through the 2x12's with another piece of 2x12 mounted crossways. I used a lot of 2x4s along the top of the cabinets as well. So far it's holding up but I think I'll need to reinforce it sooner or later.
