A while back I found an older post of a carving vice made with eye bolts, steel pipe & fittings. Unfortunately, I can't find it again. Can anybody point me in the right direction? thanks

I think this vice should be kept on the search posts, I did have it on my faverites, but now it has disapeared.

I marked up the picture in lieu of written instructions for anyone who maybe plumbing challenged.

Parts can be ordered from McMaster-Carr. Their catalog has dimensional sketches of the parts like the 1" tee is 3" long so the eye bolt needs to be around 4" with a couple of inches of thread. The eye of a 5/16" eye bolt is 5/8" and the OD of an iron 3/8" pipe nipple is 5/8". Looks like it should all work well!
