I can not figure out how post the pictures, If someone would send me an email who is willing to give a guy a hand I would appreciate it greatly. All I know for sure on these decoys is they are from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My parents bought them while there on a mid summer trip. I have never seen keels like this they are made of a thin piece of copper, which can fold up out of the way, They appear to be authentic, strafe marks and lead shot stuck in the red head or canvasback, I believe the other is a coot. just cant get the pictures to post, they exceed the 100KB limit. and I am not computer savy!!

John,

Email them to me and I can either resize them for you and post or return the reduced size files to you by email. & Why aren't you out hunting? Just got back from a quiet hunt in SE corner - salt.

John~

I created a free account with Photobucket. I upload from my laptop to my Photobucket "Library". Then, I open a photo the Copy it into my dkbts post. There is no restriction on file size and so we can see a nice big image.

Hope this helps,

I would say Michigan. A clue would be they came out of the UP. But I dont think they were made up there, I think Saginaw bay. The swing keels allowed more decoys in the boat. That direction of swing is more in line with the ones from MI. Other areas had decoys with swing keels but they swing breast to tail. I think the second decoy is a bluebill with a broken bill.
