Christmas Decoy

I am sending this decoy to my sister for Christmas. She likes wooden ducks. Hollow white pine and life size.

she is going to like it a lot. How was the pine to work with. Did you have to hollow it a lot to get the float the way you wanted it.



Bird looks to nice to ride a mantle. I hope she hunts it a bit.

I don't know that I would want to go much smaller than a life-size teal.

It is hollowed to about 1/2" thick. The next one will likely go a bit thinner. I won't be under the gun to finish the next teal.
