I have Cabela's Dry-Plus™ Breathable Hunting Chest waders. I would recommend them. Light weight and very durable. Never going back to neoprene.

I got a pair of the Cabelas Dry-Plus last season as well and they are terrific. I've worn them in freezing conditions, though I do have a neoprene pair for sub zero weather.

Another breathable wader user, but not the Columbia brand. I wear the LLBean Helix waders. They are great. Going on year three. No leaks. Light weight. Dry in minutes. But don't do much to keep you warm. You must know how to properly layer for that. But I imagine, your cold is a little different than our cold in the NE.

I really like the freedom of movement in the breathable waders and the fact that I don't have to drag a PEET dryer around with me to duck camp.

I've been thinking of the same thing, or going back to the old proline lightweight 2-layer waders, I can patch those with duct tape if I have too.

I don't have the Columbia waders, but I switched to breathables from Cablea's 6 or 7 years ago thinking I would use them in the early part of the season. I found that with the right layering underneath they are good for almost the whole season here in Michigan. The only drawback to using them in the cold is the boots are not as insulated as my neoprenes, but the lack of clammy clothes makes up for it. I will buy another pair of the Dry-Plus from Cabelas when these finally wear out.

I'm a big fan of Columbia products, and have been for many years. Still have two Wigeon jackets, from the early 1990's that still do the job. Last season I bought a pair of LL Bean breathable waders.
So far no problems, plus the boot has 1000 of Thinsulate. Layered with good wader pants, and Under Armour of various weights, I'm good to go. LL Bean backs their products 100%, and I've been a customer since the 1960's, and never had a problem that they didn't solve. You still will need a boot dryer for the bootfoot. I use the old style Ronning I, made in Norway. Another product that I've had a for a long time..........

Cabela 's breathable waders for me, on about my 5th pair, we are hard on stuff out here and they hold up well , also very warm , much better than neoprene when you layer up properly.

Neil,

I had a pair of Columbia's maybe 3 years back and they were garbage. Didn't even last one season. Switched to Cabela's that Spring and still have my original pair.

Thanks Brian, that's what I was looking for. Rodgers has them on sale and I was thinking they might be a deal. Will look into the cabelas ones thanks guys.
