My Son and I got out with his pup Yesterday for a little water fun... Hope these bring a smile to your face! I know they do mine every time I re-watch'em...

The first video, Copper is making her first retrieve in water... (She figures it out quick after this although she still needs to log more water time to get herself leveled out)

In this Video, Copper is doing her first Water Mark (i'm the bird-boy these days, now... and of course i made a mistake by trying to squat down to get better video. lol - i was corrected afterwards. HAHA)

That did bring a smile to my face. Thanks.

I did about the same thing on sunday. I hadn't been able to get Deuce out in the water for a while so he is still learning to swim at about 5 month old. He did good and I didn't push him too far out with the tosses. I sound a little disappointing at the end of this only because he had been bringing it right back to me without being called all day until I video one. :) I really didn't care, I'll worry about that later.

Argyll's (my YLM that was my Christmas present) been doing water retrieves for a while, but is developing a problem I want to stop. Brings it back to shore and spits the bumper out and shakes (yeah, I know young dogs will do that). But then he leaves it on the bank and goes back out in the water like he's going on a sightseeing tour.
What's the best course of action? I'm thinking on shortening it up and puttinghim back on a long line. Y'all's thoughts?

Bill, until mine is FF, I try to make sure I meet them at the bank as they come out of the water and take the bumper. never giving them the chance to spit it out. Maybe less is more in this case. Fewer retrievers - maybe that will direct the focus more to the bumper/retrieve. - At least he is loving the water.

Looks good Tim...

why is it that when you decide to take a picture or video - they never do as they did the time before...

I have learned over the years to never brag about my dog or shooting skills. they always make a lair out of me when i do..
