I have the day off today but Jane and the kids are in school. So I had this plan to carve my brains out all day. I got the shop all heated up, coffee was in place, phone was out of reach - and one of the bearings went on my handpiece. So that will slow me down a bit. I ordered new ones out of Sask, but it will be a week or more till I see those I bet.

It's not that bad, I can still carve bodies with the drawknife, but you know when you get a rythym going and you are in the groove, you hate to be interrupted. I was right in the middle of 16 scoter heads.

Oh well, the knife it is then.

I got me a new chair this summer. Can you believe someone threw this out? It has three massaging motors in it plus a heater! If I could fit it in my 14'er it would be a great trolling chair.

Whatever you do...don't look at that chair under a blacklight...it would probably be back at the dump in a heartbeat!
 
Don't you hate it when that happens!!! After the first two time wrapping mine up in the tee shirt I bought a spare shaft. Since then, ain't broke one. Go figgure......LOL
 
Wow.....those were great chairs. My grandparents had one. I remember my kid brother playing in it like he was a pilot of a B17. He'd turn one motor on at a time. Damn thing even sounded like a plane when the pilot would power up the motors. To cool.....
 
That's right...you only get "Hockey Night Canada" up there. Saw a thing on CNN or some other "news" show where they took blacklights into hotel rooms....old bodily "fluids" show up as white sploogies...some of those rooms had them all over..on the beds,walls,doors,TV's...you name it..heh heh heh..enjoy your chair! Back in my single days, we had a vibrating lounge chair that would vibrate the whole first floor of our house.

Well I don't have to worry about that then - this chair came from the teacher's lounge at the Catholic High School. : )

I'd check it with the black light just to make sure. Might change your whole perspective. Then again you might not want to know.
