Ct Hunters - Gadwall

My cuz shot his first gadwall this week, and we saw a couple more earlier today. I dont remember seeing any last year, are they somewhat common in ct, or were we in the right spot at the right time? I do know that they are one tough duck though...

I seem to shoot a few gadwall ever year in CT. There are areas that hold more gadwall than others.
