Dale Hollow Lake

Anyone ever hunt Dale Hollow. My inlaws are building a house on the Ky side of the lake and I have to go down and do some work.I was wondering what type of birds would be in the area. Any info would be appreciated. John

I've fished Dale Hollow numerous times in February and March and very seldom saw many ducks. There are a few resident wood ducks in the fall and I've seen a number of coots before. I sure wish the highland resivours of Ky and Tenn. held ducks like those of the western Tenn. and Cumberland River Valley.

If the duck hunting doesn't work out it can be one of the best places for trophy smallmouth and spotted bass during the winter months. Silver buddy, small jigs and float and fly work the best for artificials. If you want pure numbers of good size fish I here large shiners are the ticket.

Good luck with which ever you get to do.

Where are they building?

I forget the name of the town, but it is right on the border overlooking a marina. Its a newer subdivision. My brother inlaw is into fishing. Thanks for the input. John
