Well Dani pretty much told the story. It was one of those days that many would have given up on. We moved early and found a new spot, actually Dani pointed it out and we quickly set up. Ducks were workin back as I paddled and dragged my layout back from where I left the airboat. It ended up being a great spot, made the day a great day and nothing could be better than seeing a big smile on a good friend's face.

We pulled off the trail on a muck flat to let another airboat pass by and got a little stuck

Dani grabbed the camera and took a couple more cool shots. The humans...

..and the reptiles were out sunning themselves.

Like I said, it was a great day... one of the funnest days I had this year, and one of the most satisfying as well with a nice mixed bag. It was one of those special days I'll never forget, and I doubt Dani will either.

HAH! look at that goofy grin I've got :) yup that was a fun day...I still get that goofy grin when I think about that mottled and then the blue winged bomber and probably will for a long time to come
 
looking good guys and gals way to go hit a minus 30 C sumthin last week here glad your getting your tans darkin hehelol
 
what the heck kinda duck huntin is done in sleeveless attire - i am unfamiliar with that concept!

nice pictures - looks like fun - congrats on the band dani!
 
and a great hunt. I can't imagine hunting in such warm weather, no snow, no ice, short sleeves and a nice bag of birds. Amazing!


Hitch, You may have posted this already but what type of camera are you shooting?

Suuuuure weve got warm weather....

And eight foot lizards ( and thats the teenagers...where's mama? ) ... yeah Hitch I saw that pic of the ten footer gobblin' down the Ringer about , what, twenty feet from where we were probably shootin? Hope he prefers tender immortal goddesses than fatboys like myself...

And vipers as big 'round as your thigh....

Dont forget the blood transfusion that you'll need from the ten billion mosquito bites....

And west nile, and swamp rot -- Im just waiting for typhus, yellow fever, and malaria to make a comeback...

And Yankees who drive wwwwwwaaaaaaayyyyyyy too fast down I95 South on the way to ratland....

And hurricanes.... And twisters.... And bigger hurricanes that throw off more twisters...

And wildfires (remember when the whole gol'danged state burned down?)....

And now theres pythons in the 'glades eating them eight foot gators...cant wait for them to move north...

And the American Crocodile has made a comeback and is now moving North?

Did I mention Yankees who cant drive :) ?

Heatstroke while duck hunting?

Yep, we live in paradise :)

A) My new rods itching for a bluegill ... or two...or twenty and...
B) Were about two months away from tolerable weather, and my twinfin is itching to slap some waves... Just no "sausage" comments about me in a springsuit :)

as far as those Yankees who drive too fast...you wouldn't think so if you actually drove close to the speed limit :)

I'm ready to go fishin' pretty much whenever you can get your hall pass to go. So you do your honey'dos and let me know when we can go. Hmmmmm i wonder which boat we're taking? That leaky ol' jon boat of yours?? hmmmm I guess I'll make sure I take a wet suit...er survival suit. And just for your information, I wouldn't make any comments about anyone looking like a sausage as they squeeze into a spring suit. I'm mean, but c'mon.
