Thanks Dani. Yeah, any time I can spend with my kids is a good day. I get the homesick feeling when they are off at college. I feel spoiled when I get to have a day one on one with Halie. I get to have all my favorite things at one time; daughter, dog, Ducks and coffee. Life doesn't get much better.
As for my Chessie, I bought Barley from John Passie out on Montauk NY. His father Captain Jack Passie is a member here on the forum and posted a "puppies for sale " in the classified. All I can say is two very nice, down to earth guys. I can't say enough about the breed. Very dedicated. she is by my side ever minute I am home. Not meant for upland hunting, but she does pretty good on Grouse and woodcock. It's a bit comical when she is on a timber doodle. She's like a T-Rex breaking through the brush!
