Decoy painting

I had a few ol herters foam mallards sitting in the shop for years and desided to put them to use, I've got plenty mallards and widgeon decoys so I desided to make paint them to be blue bills for open water on the lake and rivers round home hopping the white will stand out and draw more atterntion to my spread. With halil help from my 3 oldest kids we mixed paint and tried to make them look as close to real as we could . I think they turned out pretty good. What does every one think?

there is nothing better than letting the kids have at it on the decoys. I hope you got a picture or two. They will grow up fast on you and you will still remember it every time you hunt those birds.
I did the same thing with some Restle decoys I had. Switched the GE heads over to Cans from Herters and let the kids fly with the paint. Fun to hunt them all in a bunch with my others.

I did get a few pic's of the kids Bob wife has them somewhere on the computer but I cann't find them lol. It was fun and they loved it and when we got down to the details and small stuff they all sat and watched. And told me they were ready to go duck hunting. I cann't wait either to put the blue bills on the water and with the kids and enjoy the time before they are grown.
