Decoy Question ?

I have carved a decoy for my girlfreind and i sealed it with spar varnish and used acrylic paints and sprayed it with testors dull coat and she wonderd if she displayed it in a spot that the sun would hit it would it fade the paint . Could someone help me out with that i have no clue ?

i cant tell about your varnish or your dull coat .. but: for sure the sun light will made a fade paint color .. but it need time ...

Like any other painting acrylic or oil , on a decoy , on a drawing or on a wall ... or a mounted bird , the problem is not the sun light but the UV inside this light ... it burn color.

If it only few hours by day, it not serious but all the day .. it maybe a problem , in my home i have a filter in the window whos block this UV , and the effect is very low ...
