Did anyone get out for early goose today?

We have family here for holiday activities so I have to wait for Tuesday but I heard a lot of shooting this morning.
 
We were on the X . My son and I 10 bird limit.

We'll be in Whittemore MI on Tuesday and thru the weekend,,,CORN country and some cut wheat.

Will post pics if we do anything interesting

Jack,your hunting last year's license in Sept,you just need a new HIP #
 
That's right last years license this years duck stamp. There isn't enough geese here in Montauk to bother with, and the farms that I hunt on still have crops in the field

Goose yesterday morning and dove yesterday afternoon. No geese swung my way and I learned my O/U has a barrel selector/safety problem so as I was figuring out that I have a problem I managed 5 shots and no dove and went home. Gun goes into the shop tomorrow. Not a good start to the season. Reports thru the grapevine are NO teal in the area. Guess I'll go fishing next weekend.
 
Jack, bring the cooler and ice... If they want to get rid of local birds, give us a liberal limit the first week??? Can't get into summer hunting...
 
Out of that 10 the son got most . I tell him you shoot first i,ll follow up. Now that i am older i get a bigger kick watching him knock em down .
 
My son and I met my Dad and brother. The morning was slow due to fog, but we managed three and had a great time. My son called in his first goose.
