Does anybody remember the Rocky Point Resort Hunt

I figured starting a new adventure with such good memories couldn't be a better way to go..Hey all,
Just wondering how many folks might still remember a duckboats.net hunt that happened at Rocky Point Resort in Oregon back in 2001? I hadn't really thought about that hunt for a very long time, but recent events brought it back to mind.

A few weeks ago I lost my 11 month old lab puppy Grizzly to a congenital defect that was filling his chest cavity with lymphatic fluid 😪. As a result I've been looking to find another pup and have found one that I will be picking up down in southern CA in late June. In planning our trip down I found that the perfect stopping point for our first day just happened to be Rocky Point Resort.

I have so many vivid memories of that hunt that I can hardly believe it was 20 years ago. I remember driving down with Steve Sutton and him getting fed up with having to stop for gas so often because my vehicle had a 17 gallon gas tank and his behemoth of a truck had like 50 gallons on board. I remember Dave Parks, Glenn Hilyar, Klaus and many others.

I'm sorry to hear about Grizzly. I wasn't around here in 2001 I don't think so I missed the discussion of good times had at Rocky Point Resort. Looks like it was a fun time. I have thought about Dave Parks over the years though, wondering how he is doing or if he is still alive.

Your comment about Steve and his commenting on stopping all the time made me laugh. He complained about that with me too, but more often than that, he complained about how it seemed to him we had to stop ALL THE TIME so I could use the bathroom....never mind that we also needed gas.

Glad to see you stopping back in....
