Dog days

Well today my friend Todd and I went out to one of our local lakes and did a bit of doggie training. I also found out that I have a huge leak in BOTH of my hip boots. Kenzie got introduced to a dead duck today. Not really knowing what the heck it was about, it took a little bit for him to want to fetch it up. But after seeing Gretta (the german shorthair) fetch up a dead bird several times, he couldn't stand not being in on the action. Here are a few pics of the mutts just playing around. :)

The floating turd brigade rides again:

Gretta is pretty good with fetching most times, but that swimming thing....well she's not terribly enthused about that. But she's doing better than she was last time.

Awwww I don't worry about the gators nibbling my toes. and the fish tickle when they nibble on your freckles. lol the water was just a little cool for my liking (for standing in calf-thigh high water)....or I would've been barefoot. BUT at least i now know that I have holes in both my boots when I thought it was just one.

so speaking of boots/shoes --- have you adapted to the workplace shoe requirement??????

how is the job going? you rich enough to retire yet???

well my workplace shoe requirement is no flip flops....sooooI figure that my sandals will work just fine :) It's a losing battle for anyone trying to get me to wear closed toed shoes all the time. And my sandals aren't flip flops :-D :p

monetarily I am not rich enough to retire yet. :p The job is going.......it's very dull being a staff assitant/secretary person to a bunch of guy who do all their own work. For the most part, they do everything that needs to be done. So that leaves me with not much to do. Guess that I have them trained well. But the guys I work with are great and our analyst Mandy and I can spend an enjoyable afternoon looking out her window checking out the bluejays and squirrels. But from time to time when I do have something productive to do, it's great. But hey....it's a pay check and benefits and i get off work by 2:30 pm so I have the afternoon to putter around playing with the mutt and generally making a mess of myself. :)

Have fun!
Dani
