Dog friendly sneak boat...

I've been putting my dog in a blind on shore or on the bow. My hope is with the new dodger that I am building to be able to fit them under the dodger behind me.

It depends on the style of boat, steadiness of the dog and preference of the owner as to where the dog is positioned in the boat with you. Here's two examples of the same boat design used different ways.

These are both KMT Highlands boxes with three hatches. One, my father's, prefers to have the dog in the cockpit with him, sitting behind him under the canvas.

Another, owned by a friend, has a separate canvas on the bow cockpit similar just for the dog, similar to this:

Once heavily grassed it disappears, but the dog can easily exit to make the retrieve.

Here's my pooch in "her" spot.

Although I haven't actually hunted with her in here yet, this is where I plan for her to be.
