Dog ladder...will this work?

I assume the mat is being used as a dog ladder. Has anyone tried this?

it should help, but you will likely still have to pull dog in. Pushing on back of a dogs head instead of pulling will helps the dog to pop over the rail. If hunting against a bank always encourage the dog to return to the bank and jump in boat on it's own.
