Electric Pirogue Refurbushment Complete!

It was a fun little project, and a pretty neat boat. Added a layer of expoxy to the bottom for abrasion resistance, and a new paint job. spayed over camo netting to get the effect. It has a 25 lb thrust trolling motor you steer with a lever (forward/reverse and three speeds low/med/high). I added bow and stern lights, and a water proof battery box. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or sell it, but I guess that depends on if another project comes around.

Very cool....How fast is that sucker? what kind of range with an average load?

-D To be honest, I have no idea, I have never had it in the water yet. It has a smaller metal propeller, so after I test drive it, I may monkey with putting on a newer, larger plastic one. I'm sure the range depends on how much you run it, at what speeds, and what type of battery you have in it (cranking, deep cycle etc.). I'll let you know the GPS speed, as I'm sure it is impressive!
