Feeder

Beautiful work J, How do you keel these. I was thinking of doing some with a weighted
1" dowel the length of the decoy. I would attach my line to the end of the dowel.
What do you think?? John

J thats a great job its looks so real and convincing.

That is a good looking butt... where does the pump go to shoot out a stream of water to make it look like it is kicking? :)

Still got them and still hunting them. They certainly have stood up to the abuse. I noticed you are using two lead weights. On mine, if you recall, there is a single weight and that is where the eye bolt mounts. The mallard you're doing looks fantastic. I don't think I could tell it wasn't real from decoying distances.

Thanks guys. Eric, I like the single lead like I did for you better. I just could not get this one to tip up as high without two. This one looked like a feeder about to tip. The extra weight brought him on up. I think yours may be balsa. Maybe that was the difference. Same pattern still.
