Finally some Sea Ducks

It was rough as hell today in Montauk, a huge Southeasterly swell 10'-12' with a NNE wind at 25 Kts into it. It made for a very uncomfortable day of fishing. The Stripers stiil bit their heads off, but the best of it for me was we finnally saw some Scoters and Eiders. Not a lot but about 50 of each. I guess the North wind has pushed some birds down. It's a start.

Jack,
Ron's brother took a few guys and went to BI yesterday and Sunday. Tim Comstock (Franklins mate and second captain) was with them and he said it looked like Hawaii with stand up overhead tubes......
I guess that is "Surfer" for big darn waves.
Quite the boat ride from what I hear.

I guess, now I'll have less of an excuse if I don't bag any sea ducks, if I try sea duck hunting for the first time this season... :)
