Finnaly got some water, and more on the way

In northern MN, we have had very little snow this winter, and low water levels BAD last summer. So even though this recent storm has been a pain in the A**, I'm glad we got some moisture. Last year I totaled my boat on a rock in low water, and duck hunting was near impossible to pull the flat bottom up to the reeds. Snow baby snow!

Here is a picture of my car buried in the drifts this morning.

I plowed all night, and even though this picture doesn't look all that bad, its cause I took while I didn't fear for my life. White out conditions and drifted full ditches made it dang near impossible to tell where the road was lots of times.

Here is a shot of our local forecast for the week. Welcome back old man winter.

Andy,
We got a bunch of the same and I am tickled. Even better, Deb decided that it would be fun to run the snowblower. Far be it from me to stand in the way of fun!!! Hope all is well up there on the norwegian Rivieara.
Got a new computor yesterday so this is kinda trial runnin today. Naturally the old scanner or printer won't work with Vista so, screwed again. Gotta run now, stay in touch and keep your plow out of the ditch.

Andy,

I'll trade you your snow for our snow AND ice. We had been with out power for just over 24 hours ( nothing compared to Steve's adventure). Just as I was headed out to borrow a generator from my brother-in-law who had power, our power came back online. I went ahead and picked up the borrowed generator just in case. On the way to my brother in law's place, we had to detour twice and drover over downed powerlines twice as well (powerlines were dead).
It took me about four hours of hand shoveling to clear my driveway!!! The snow and ice was too slushy to use the blower. It kept freezing up in the auger system.

Andy,
Isn't O.T. great. ;^) The guys at the shop down here have been running nonstop the last couple of days.
Wish we could help you with water levels, but it's goin south from here. I had to snoblow a dog run in the back yard, the old girl (dog, not wife) was having a pretty hard time gettin around in it. Stuck a yardstick in it, between 22 and 24 inches since Fri. evening. I've got a healthy snowblower and it's still been a pita, I can't imagine what those nice folks out east are dealing with. Hang in there and keep the coffee hot.

Howdy George,
Tell em to close them lock and dams, and hold on too a few drops! Good to hear from ya, and yeah the OT is fine on payday, but workin weekends on top of midnight to noon gets old in a hurry. I slept too much this afternoon, so now I'm stuck awake. It's still snowing here, all though not as hard as last night. I never measured anything, since the wind was blowing so hard that in one spot you get 6" the next 36". I even managed to get the truck stuck in the driveway for a few moments this today. A few rocks and she came free though. IS IT OCTOBER YET!
