Five hours in the blind with River today - pics

I got up at first light this mourning, only to find a thick fog on the water. Left home anyway and went down to the bay a set up numerous decoys. After an hour and a half the fog started to give way to some openings in the clouds. took plenty of water and cookies for me and my best friend River. I hope you enjoy the photo's, I promise I won't post for a couple weeks after these past two days. Good luck to all that are going to Westlake.

What a beautiful array of shots. One of the buffie and two of the incoming pintails were my favorites.

Gary - If any of us with cameras ever need inspiration, this series and your last certainly fill the bill. I was very surprised to see some ring bills here over the weekend in 2 different spots along with a bunch of other ducks including widgeon. Those swans look very large - what kind are they ?
Thanks for posting - stunning !

Gary,
Five hours in the boat with River at your side and taking these photos sounds like a great therapy session for the off season. I think those are Tundra Swans if I'm not mistaken and they are my favorite along with the buffies. I'll miss seeing your pics for the next couple weeks. Thanks for posting and hurry back.
