Florida Mottled Duck banding

Headed out last night with FWC Biologist Jamie Fedderson for some late season duck banding.

We started in the Broadmoor Marsh SGA & ended up banding (21) twenty-one mottleds, (5) five recaptures (a female that was banded (4) four years ago) & a loner hen ringneck.

Didn't see any woodies or tree ducks to band.

Not a band evening for an hour & a half on the water.

Looks like a fun and productive night. I'd love to travel in air boat some day--and it's got to be wicked at night.
