For 3 weeks now................

That crazy double-bearded Tom has been spending every day at the back of my Van talking and pecking at himself. Every evening he fly's up into a tall pine in the front yard and every mrning he fly's down and walks over to the Van. A few minutes ago I walked out there with my camera and took these two pictures. He has worn a path behind the Van over a 1/4" deep from walking back and forth. I guess he enjoys his own company?

I know just the fix for that double bearded bird..... that nice double barreled hammergun loaded with #4's. Heck you can use the vehicle for a blind, or hide behind a mirror.

Judy said that I should start marketing some small chromed plastic mini-bumpers that Turkey Hunters could carry in their back packs and put out to attract Toms to them. Crazy bird!

You might be joking around, but I wonder if a turkey would respond to a "mirror decoy". Put a self supporting three sided mirror out with your turkey decoys. I bet it would get the big toms all riled up to see a big boy their own size in their territory...

Then again, it isn't like YOU need a get rich scheme - as far as I can tell you have a life that any man would dream of.

Maybe I need to make one...

A 3 sided mirror would probably work fine, all you'd have to do is call a Tom in close enough for it to see itself. Y ajust don't want to hit the mirror in all the excitement!

Old Tommy here kinda switched tactics today. He walked by the greenhouse and saw himself in the glass walls. He's been there all day talking to himself and pecking at the glass. He may never go back to the bumpers now that he can see ALL of himself. Crazy bird.
