My oldest son was lucky enough to win a consolation custom made call from Dave Larsen this past spring. Since no good deed should go unpunished, I'm offering 2 handcarved burlapped foam drake ringnecks for another free kids raffle

Rules - PLEASE READ THEM at least TWICE!

Must be old enough to tag along this season, which I define as 4 yrs old min-14 years od MAX
Pick a number between 1-1000 (I have the winning number written on a paper here taped to the Computer)
One guess per qualifying child, closest guess to the number without going over WINS the pair.
If 2 guess the same number the 1st person to make the post WINS!
Contest ends on Sep - 29th at 11:59pm.

Pics of the pair will follow shortly as they are not quite done yet. I will announce the winner and make the contact to get them in the mail shortly thereafter. Best of luck to all whom enter.

Corey and Kirk,
It's amazing how Dave's generosity last year and in years past has rubbed off with the kids Raffle. I thought it was a wonderful idea last year and entered to see to my surprise that my daughter won a consolation prize -- Dave the picture will be sent as soon as the season starts.

So I'll post for my Daughter Avalon (#645) age 10

And my son Noah (#050) age 8

Last time I used birthdays this time they told me the numbers to use.

Once again this is a very generous raffle for all who have started this and those who continue.
kudos.

Regards,
Jack

Thanks for chipping in Kirk, that is gracious of you. Would you like to also pick a number and we can then have multiple winners rather than winner-takes-all? Your call either way.

Sure!! I'll pick a winnner too.

Ok I'm thinking of a number between one and one-thousand........

Kirk

Glad to see the contest for the kids. My 5 year old went along on his first goose hunt this year, cap gun and all. His guess is "62".

Great idea gentlemen. My daughter has been on several hunts with me and everytime she goes we get skunked, she stays home and we get birds. I still take her every chance I get! Katie's guess is 325!

Thanks Corey and Kirk,
what a great idea. That is coming from a state that now has less than 1% of the residents buying hunting lic. We need more kids hunting.
Ashley picks 396
and John picks 582.

Good work Cory and Kirk. INSERT BIG THUMBS UP HERE!

These kids are what we will rely on to keep this passion for ducks going, keep'em intristed or it will VANISH!

Id like to add one more to your event This is a Single Reed Duck Call shaped JUST LIKE my personal call I have
sitting here made of WALNUT top and bottom and very easy to blow and very raspy. Good for a young one to learn
the mechanics of a single reed call.

I have my number picked and written down on a post-it on the computer.

GUESS AWAY KIDS!

Walnut call same shape as the Bocote Duck call that I use.

You are awfully generous to be doing this. I run kid events for my fish and game club in CT and truly believe that we need to 'pass on our sporting heritage'.

My son Shane who is 12 and went on his first hunt at age 4 guesses - #127

My daughter Kelly who is 9 and went on her first hunt at age 5 guesses - #2

Thanks for doing this and good luck to all.

Thanks guys. My 7 year old boys pick 70 (Dylan) and 550 (Colin) Both are anxiously awaiting our season opener this Saturday.

This sight always has been and will continue to be my favorite because of actions like these.

Ryan Ballard says 727
Bailey (the Bug) Ballard predicts 425

Thanks Guys! You really know how to make it enjoyable for the kids. Luke's (4 on veteran's day) guess is 820. He tagged along a few afternoons last year. Twice after I limited out in the morning and we just watched the birds land in the dekes, great experience. He has painted his own rig of four dekes to take along this year. We're calling them "black ducks" although they look like multi colored domestics.
