GEs in the snow

We've been getting heavy snow all day. I have been hearing GEs flying overhead all afternoon while I was shoveling our driveway and sidewalks. Its a suburban neighborhood but we are near the Yellowstone River and this weather has got the birds moving around for sure.

Oh man, the only thing I'd be shoveling is the ramp to get the boat in the water. Nothing better than GEs in the ice and snow.

I was working outside at a tower site here on my lake last week. There were groups of 100 GE's getting up circling around and landing back into the main group. Quite the site to see I have not seen it before on this lake and I doubt I will again. They were definitely staged to head south.

I killed a perfect drake GE on the Missouri river Saturday, Saw good numbers of them and some Redheads too.
