Gloves

I booked my second hunt to MA for seaducks. My first hunt was two years ago and the only real clothing failure was my gloves. Despite being advertised as waterproof, etc.. they failed under the stress of setting out and retrieving lines, clipping decoys, etc.. For you northern gents, what's your go-to waterproofs, durable, cold weather longline glove?

Chad~

We (Great South Bay in January) use the PVC coated gloves that commercial fishermen wear. Here is the first link I found:

My partners have the bright blue - I have the orange. They are for all the work involved in handling boats and decoys - and for just traveling at high speeds on the water.

When the rig is set, each has his own preference for gunning gloves: I like fingerless gloves with rubber-dotted palms.

I believe there was a post on this topic within the past 2 years.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Steve. This is exactly the feedback I was hoping to get. I did some searching before posting but didn't go back far enough. I just found the "crabbers gloves" thread from 2019 and it's chock full of good info.
