Got out Saturday with my cousin and had a real good shoot. Lots of birds around and some real good decoying flocks. All in all we got our 14 birds and had a great time.

This Saturday I am going to get my father out for his first hunt of the year. Should be a good time.
 
Sounds like you guys had a great trip...Thanks for posting the picture...Looks as if you may be getting some snow...Left Fort Wayne at 28 degrees a week ago...Now in Houston, Tx...There talking about Tornadoes tomorrow...

Yeah we did get some snow. Made for a great hunt. We are supposed to get more this Saturday. Hopefully with the same results.

The temperatures were not to bad, the snow was a welcome it got rid of the freezing rain. There are plenty of birds around this area for sure I will see about sending a few flocks south Al. Happy hunting.

that is great when a shoot comes together like that. The weather and the birds all in one.
That picture in your avatar is a keeper. Must have been cool to live it for real.
Guys like Chet and Dave have lived enough of those days to be able to hit it just right in the art work. Makes for a bit of a relief waiting in the off season seeing one of their paintings.

Bob, I know what you mean about that picture. I chose it because it reminded me of my grandfather out on the marsh flats here in Utah. I hunt an area that is very similar to this painting. Happy hunting.
