Got a few decoys done yesterday.

Mike,

I think you did O.K. on the A-5. Like I said in my email, the price was especially good for your area. I sold the A-5 20 ga. VR 28" Mod. I had. Ot was the one with a way too short stock (LOP 12"). I got $650 fr it and it was made in 1952.I see Donald goot you squared away on looking up the guns date of manufacture. I guess I should get a Browning book, just never needed one as much as I do the Colt & Winchester books I have.

Have fun shooting geese with it. I'm sure you'll like it.

Dave

Thanks Donald. I'll check that out. And it killed 3 geese tonight so I guess I'll keep it.

Mike
Nice job on the first time out with the A5 Mike. The feature I like most about the gun is the Magazine cut-off.I couldn't get used to the recoiling barrel back then,
(50s)and never considered an Auto.Bought a Berratta 390 (Hump-back) about 6 years ago because it had a mag cut-off,and non recoiling barrel.Should have a lifetime of service out of that A5.Keep the mag tupe in dry lubricant,(we used Motor Mica)and you wont have any hang ups with light loads, after flipping the tapered washer.
