Grand Canyon

My wife and I spent a few days in Las Vegas and while there took a trip out the Grand Canyon. It was an amazing outing and I took a few pictures on the flight out and in the canyon. Some of the shots are through the "glass" of the helicopter so they have odd markings and a tint.

Flight out. The water you see is a bay off Lake Mead.

Breath taking. Absolutely beautiful Terry.

While I am born and raised on the east coast and truly love the rolling hills and mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, there is something awe inspiring about the mix of browns and rough beauty of some of the western states. I have enjoyed all of my western adventures.

I will have to agree with Chad. There is just something about the colors, formations of rocks and canyons out there. - I hope to see the Grand Canyon one day! Thanks for sharing!

Holy amazing colors. Can you imagine humping through the sage brush with your chuckwagon and mules and you come to the edge of ... WTF! "I guess we'll just go back."

Hey Paul can you give me a call 867-633-2945 when you get a minute. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a pair of Leupold binos and I wanted to talk to you first.

No kidding on the wagon comment. Mike, I will try to call this evening.

Thanks for the other comments. We had a lot of fun on this outing. I only wish we had more time to explore on foot.

Paul,

I went and bought the Leupold Cascades for $400 at the gun shop downtown this afternoon. I signed up to help out on a bear hunt next week and I badly need some decent bino's. If any of your contacts are ever looking to sell a used pair of Swarovski's drop me a line.
