Gun Dipping

Hey guys, I'm looking to get my gun dipped after the season ends, and wanted to see if anyone in the NY area knows a good place to get it done. Any advice on a place to go will be appreciated. Thanks.

took mine to gander mountain they send it out i got mine tefloned has been holding up good to the saltwater

Gander Mountain does not do it inhouse. They send it out to a subcontractor. A Google search for "camo dipping" should point you in the right direction.

Thanks guys, Gander Mountain is a bit of a hike for me, I was hoping to find somewhere on the island to get it done, but I guess worst case senario I can go to Gander Mountain on my way up for my Coyote trip in February and have it sent out.

I have only dipped my gun in mud and also lake water. Is it worth camo dipping a used gun? How about painting with FME?

Tom,

You can box the gun up yourself and ship it to the same places Gander would be dealing with, and probably save yourself money.

Look into Cerakote finish instead of dipping....
