Hand Planes

More items from Jeff’s shop have moved to mine. This is about half his plane collection. The other half, mostly Lie Nielsen, are staying with his father for the time being. These need a good cleaning/sharpening so for now will be decor. But eventually they will be put to use. Jeff had nice taste, to say the least. There are Stanley, Baleigh, Record, and Bedrock, among others.

Very nice. It does sound like Jeff had very nice tastes. I like the gym seat paneling and display shelf.

Thanks Brad. Jeff had nice taste and many of his things were in a "project" state. I have years of work to get everything in order. Bit that's okay because I do it for enjoyment and am not on anyone's schedule but my own. Or I think....

I got a letter from AARP wanting me to join. Want me to forward it to you? :)

Well, at least I wasn't the only one getting ones of those AARP letters recently!!!

I have a few more months, but we will join as soon as the clock strikes 50.

Eric, those planes are a treasure! If you aren't familiar with him already check out Paul Sellers website. English pro woodworker trying to bring back hand tool skills and use. His skill is awe inspiring. Enjoy the tools.

Paul sellers also has a good youtube video about restoring hand planes. I bought an old Stanley #5 on ebay and fixed it up nice following his steps.
