Has a duck hunt ever impacted your life?

Fantastic response to the thread about duck hunters not smiling in ads or magazines anymore.

That last photo belongs on a magazine cover.

Nicely done.

In a year of wonderful posts from you Al, this is my favorite one by far. You are a good man sir, and thank you for enriching the lives of those that are near you and those of us that follow your adventures through your pictures and stories.

Al,
that is by far your best story yet! You are indeed a great person. Congrats on a wonderful hunt, and many more to come!

Scott

Thank you everyone for all of those comments. They were much appreciated. In less than a half hour, Preston will be here and as soon as we are packed we are heading for the ranch for another duck hunt.
Al

This is what I saw on Thursday when I was leaving the ranch. In fact, there were 7 javelinas in that group.

Al~

I've been so busy, I did not read this wonderful tale until just now. The "O. Henry" ending got us all, I am sure. Of course, it reminds me of my Dad - who used to somehow get a wheel-chair-bound friend into our scooter (the hunting kind!) in the middle of Great South Bay.

Also, I am sure most of us pick our gunning partners with the greatest of care. I am happy for both of you!

All the best,

SJS

Hope y'all have a fun hunt!
How are those javelina on the bbq? Do you ever hunt them?
