I think a little more info on the boat would be needed is it a flat bottom a v-hull are you looking to use tiller or remote or a picture of the boat would be good aswell I am sure someone on this site has or had a boat like the one you are asking about

I like this guide. It will not tell you the biggest motor you can survive. It does give you a sensible HP rating.
