Help uploading pictures

A lil help uploading pic, I replaced the floor in my 14' whaler over the summer and wanted to share pictures of it but keep getting a message saying the attachment exceeds maximum size. If some could help and tell me how to make it work.

Open a photobucket account, upload your pics there. then put your cursor over the picture and options pop up below it. copy and paste the IMG code into your post here and you should be good to go.

I personally use photobucket for 99% of the pictures I post. To upload to our server here, the easiest is to download a free photoediting program such as Gimp, open your file, and if I recall there is a 'Save for Web' option that will resized it to a more reasonable size.

Hope this helps

Another way is to use Paint to resize your pictures. Open a picture in Paint and in the upper right hand corner you will see a resize tab. This is based on % depending on the size of your picture in bits. I reduce to about 10 to 15 % ( every picture can be different ) Then save your picture. ( Again you don't want delete the original so add a letter to the number of your picture and then save ) This picture you just saved will be along side of the original. Right click on the picture and a dialog box will appear. On the bottom of that dialog box you should see Properties. Click on Properties. A dialog box comes up in that box it will tell you the size of your picture in bites. If you are under 100,000 bites you can post. If not then repeat the process using a smaller % It take longer to read this then to change the size of the picture after a few times.
