I am thinking about getting some millennium decoys. Just wondering what other people think about them before I spend the $. Are they worth the extra $, do they hold up well, thanks!
I bought 4 dozen of the mallards when they first came out. It will depend on how hard you are on your equipment. They get 'rub' marks pretty easily when shoved into a bag or tossed around in the boat. And once that image is gone there is no way to get it back. You can paint the white 'rub' marks but it doesn't look all that great. I also don't like the way the hen mallards look in the sun. I think they are way to yellow and kinda glow.
They only come out on certain occassions now and I'd be reluctant to spend that kind of money on them again.
I have lots of Herter's dekes and apreciate the fact that the heads are removable and spin. They are also easy to repaint. However they dent easily and require the burlap wrap to remain durable. In my opinion they are over priced. The Greenhead Gear are the best bang for the buck.
I have6 doz. of theMallards. I've had them since they first comeout, and never had a problem w/them. I bag them all the time, and have only had a couple of scuff marks. I did buy the autum wings heads for them. They made them evenmore realistic. I've had guys stop by my rigandask what they were.
