Hey Carl, how's the weather?

Yep, pretty dang breezy, definately had some tropical storm gusts this morning, expected to continue until this thing gets out of here Friday.
Not much rain yet, most of it is south of us.
Wind is blowing the water away from us for now, if the storm stays on the forecast track we could see a 2-3' surge.
Cedar Key & Crystal River could take a beating later this week.

how much more should it rise for you Kris?

I had hopes for a WMA that is on the coast...would have been the first year in five or six that a hurricane/TS didn't inundate it with salt water and kill all of the vegetation just before duck season. Depending on where Eta hits, maybe it will be spared...not holding my breath though....

For once though it shouldn't be any worse than a tropical storm....though certainly those can be bad bad bad too

Dani, The latest forecast now has it heading your way. Hope it fizzles before it get there

Me too but the weather liars....I mean the meteorologists are saying that it should be just a depression...personally I think this storm had a bit too much Ouzo will go wherever the heck its drunken self takes it

What a screwy looking storm! I hope y'all are okay in the Sunshine State and stay safe!

I'll be headed to Louisiana tomorrow night and then to camp in the SE La marsh. It ought to be interesting to see what duck food is left after Hurricane Zeta beat down the West side of the marsh. Big duck season opens Saturday! Gotta go to know!

Things are pretty sporty in downtown Tampa right now. steady 20-25 mph with higher gusts to over 30 mph.
Going to have a fun drive home in the side-ways rain.
Eyewall may make landfall just west/northwest of us later tonight. Could be an interesting night.

We came through fine, power flickered a couple of times, lots of little branches and leaves down but no real issues.
I really hope the Gulf Coast is done for this hurricane season!
